It is one of the county’s largest grant-making organisations, awarding more than £1 million annually to tackle issues including homelessness, rural isolation, mental health and disability, fuel poverty and access to further education and vocational training

Wiltshire Air Ambulance
Wiltshire Air Ambulance provides an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for anyone who lives, works or travels in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. The charity has to raise £3.75 million every year to keep the service operational. From the charity’s new purpose-built airbase in Semington, the helicopter can reach all parts of Wiltshire within 11 minute. There are Air Ambulance charity shops in Westbury and Devizes.

SSAFA – the Armed Forces Charity (Wiltshire)
SSAFA provides lifelong support to men and women in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force, and their families. The charity works with veterans of all ages to help them settle into life and work outside the Forces. One day’s paid service is all that it takes to be eligible for support in Wiltshire.
