Deepest Dorset raises its first £30,000 – thank you!

DD fivepenny pigs

We launched Deepest Dorset at a great party at St Giles House last September to thank everyone who had contributed so generously to the creation of the book.

Exactly six months to the day later, we banked a cheque that bought our proceeds to £30,000. In May we will be presenting cheques for £10,000 each to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and the Dorset Community Foundation. A donation to the RNLI will follow.

Deepest Dorset is available at many places across the county. Visit the Where to Buy section for a list of stockists – and thanks to all of them for their invaluable help.

We will also be selling the book at various events in the coming months

See us at:

Cerne Abbas Village Hall on Sunday 9th April from 10.30 to 3.30 at the Made in Dorset celebration of all things made, grown or created in Dorset.

The event has been organised by the Alcohol Education Trust, a national charity based in Dorset and works with schools, youth clubs and sports clubs to help young people to have a healthy relationship with alcohol.

Deepest Dorset will also be at various events during the coming months. Visitors to the gardens at Minterne House will also be able to buy copies of the book.
